Carmel, IN | Colleen & Ryan's Wedding | Mid-West Indiana travel wedding photographer

Colleen and Ryan are a match made for each other. Lucky for me, Taylor, Ryan hired me as a Pharmacy technician for his store without knowing my husband and I would capture the special moments of his proposal to Colleen and their beautiful wedding day.

As told by Colleen's maid of honor and Ryan’s stories, Colleen and Ryan met through work at CVS. Colleen with a few years of experience found herself training and showing Ryan the ropes. A few months later Colleen received a gift of unexpected flowers at work with an anonymous note. Colleen called her maid of honor to let her know the news. As her maid of honor stated, "there could have been a few contenders as Colleen was single at this time". The advice she gave to Colleen was to say nothing and let the gentleman come to her. Colleen couldn't have been happier to find out it was Ryan.

Ryan and Colleen's relationship was getting pretty serious when I met Ryan. I found out that Colleen knew Ryan was thinking about popping the question, but she didn't know when. With her favorite song playing in the background, rose petals, printed pictures of the two of them, and of course the bottle of champagne, Ryan got down on one knee by the beautiful Indianapolis canal. She said yes and the crowd of people above the bridge cheered in celebration.

After months of scheduling, planning, and preparing Colleen and Ryan's big day finally came. The weather may have been raining but hearts were definitely glowing. From the wedding dress to the music band, every detail was perfectly in place.

Oh, and we can’t forget about all those bridesmaids and groomsmen!! There were so many of them they could have formed two football teams! Is it even legal to have that many people in your wedding party?!

The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. A beautiful service with some amazing singing and communion! Soon after we traveled to Coxhall Gardens to take the bridal photos, just in time before it poured down with rain again.

After the Bridal portraits, it was off to The Bluffs at Conner Prairie. When we arrived, it was pouring but you wouldn’t have known that once inside. You could feel the love in the room from every who was able to make it, from those who couldn't make it, and especially the loved ones in heaven.

Colleen and Ryan surprised their guest with a choreographed dance. Her dress swirled and twirled the dancing floor, and Ryan smiling ear to ear. The couple exuded joy, love, and gratitude to all their family and friends.

Ryan and Colleen are the kind of people who would do anything for anyone without thinking about it. They have a selfless spirit and they always leave someone better than they found them. With hearts of gold, meant for each other, the couple and family in celebration of their love happily danced the night away.
